• Specific: Metabolic regulation/homeostasis and inflammatory signaling pathways of cardiac myocardium under pathological conditions

Research Methods

• Mouse surgical models for studies of 1. ischemia-reperfusion insult induces myocardial infarction 2. Pressure overload induced heart failure 3. Cardiorenal Syndrome, etc.
• Cardiac function examinations by echocardiography, EKG, Langendorf based ex-vivo perfused heart hydrodynamics. 
• Cardiomyocytes contractile properties test by IonOptix system
• Mitochondria functions/fitness examination by Seahorse mitochondria test and TEM imaging
• Immunocytochemistry/immunohistochemistry by in-situ fluorescent staining and cardiac histological stainings.
• Biomolecule Test at transcriptional level (RNA seq), protein level (immunoblotting), post-translational level (ELISA kit), cytokine/chemokine quantification tests.
